Updated January 2020–I wrote this in 2007 (omg!) and oh so much has changed!! This entry was private for a very long time and republishing it. Just need to tweak it a bit…
One-line bio: I’m a doting mother in need of a pre-paid personal trainer, new batteries, and a laundrymaid.
–All still true.
I am the mother of a fearless child the super effing proud mom of a kick-ass band nerd, and I am in love with an artist was [censored] over by someone I thought was my soul mate.
They, along with my live-in previously divorced and now happily married mother, “Saint Lily,” are the usual topics of my blog.
I don’t often write about my dad, but I am very proud of him. He is died in 2012 and was an activist, often travelling to D.C. and San Francisco fighting for LGBTQI+, especially for gays in the military.
I have blogged extensively about this and other things for at least ten twenty+ years via various online journal mediums and personal websites. 2005 and 2006, in which I was involved in serious court issues (custody, jail, probation, etc) were the two worst years of my life. Most of the hardcore blog entries have been locked up.
–2005 and 2006 turned out to be a walk in the park compared to 2016. I have yet to blog about it, but most people who know me in real life know everything that happened–or are afraid to ask.
I just want to be happy and have a normal family. This isn’t always the case, and I continually struggle with the notion that I’m living a life of chaos right now because I caused some serious hell in a past life.
–Sigh. SMH. All still true as well.
Interests: “World” music (especially Putumayo compilations), movies, Angelicka Film Center, Dream Cafe, Krispy Kreme, chocolate, baking, bees, soapmaking, historic markers, historic hotels, cemeteries (it’s not a goth thing,) red nail polish, cosmetics, tattoos, postcards, stained glass, whimsical paintings, exploring music, snailmail, crossword, gadgets, sushi, Thai food, peach iced tea.
–I’ve dropped crossword and have a serious addiction to the Microsoft Solitaire Collection app.
I wish we could talk. I barley knew you so long ago at The Body Shop. I loved your spirit then and I can see it in your baby.
You saw my baby be born. I would love to talk.
It was Monica Johnson then. It is Monica Walker Now.
Namaste
